Balbás Reserva It is the palpable example of the elegance, balance and meticulousness that characterize Bodegas Balbás.
Nice ruby color with orange hues. Aromas of ripe black fruit and hints of black pepper along with nuances of toast and chocolate.
All these details reflect the complexity of this wine, the result of dedication and the careful passage of time.
Current vintage: 2017
Months in barrel: 24 months in French oak barrels.
It comes from our Torrosillo, La Retama, La ladera and El Castillo estates, located on sandy and very poor land that gives us little grape per vine. After harvesting by hand, fermentation occurs naturally in small tanks with indigenous yeasts. Maceration can last up to three weeks. It rests a total of 24 months in new French oak barrels.
Intense purple red color with cardinal hues. On the nose it is broad and, again, intense, with predominant aromas of black fruit compote, mint, cocoa and a slight background of toasted and caramelized tones. It also contains very fine and complex aromas that evolve throughout the tasting. In the taste phase, the first sensations are fresh and friendly, giving way to the smoothness and meatiness that characterize the wine. We finish with a long aftertaste recalling the spicy and caramelized aromas.
Grilled meat, stews and game stew. Ideal for pasta or rice dishes, above all it will stand out from the
of a subtle and delicate dish
