Our own vineyards
Located in the heart of the Ribera del Duero
Our vineyards
We have our own vineyards that produce Tinta del País (tempranillo), but also Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Albillo Mayor. We harvest by hand, between the end of September and the beginning of October, with productions that range between three thousand and five thousand kilos per hectare. These small quantities of grapes, together with artisanal practices, give rise to wines with a personal, unique, deep and intense touch.

The Dehesa
It is without a doubt one of the coolest farms. Clays, strong soil and good drainage. Its orientation and composition make it an ideal place for us to make the Balbás Rosado.
The Rose Garden
Hillside trellis with medium nutrient and water retention, with medium internal drainage. Little fertile soil in the upper part and very fertile in the lower part.
lamalata
Located at an altitude of 940 meters, both the Merlot and the Tempranillo that are born on this estate will be used in their entirety to make our precious Ritus.
the castle
A few kilometers from La Horra we find this beautiful hillside. From here we obtain the grapes with which we will elaborate the Ancestral Balbás.
The wicket
Poor soils, with sand and gravel, to nurture the old vineyards that still remain immovable in the face of the passing of time. Our Alitus is born right here.
Santa Eulalia
Centennial vineyards of very low yield and great power. Botero, a unique wine, comes from this traditional plot.
Zumbrin
Plot on a hillside with a slope of 12%, with a loamy-clayey-silty texture at the top and loamy at the bottom of the plot.
Holes
The new era of Balbás has already begun to see the light around this riverside enclave. For the most part, young vineyards that, little by little, will become part of our wines.
We take care of the field throughout the evolutionary process of the vine, thus achieving a meticulous follow-up of the grape from its birth until, after its elaboration, it reaches your glasses. This is the only possible method to obtain an excellent wine.
